How to make homemade potato chips fast
Get your taters! Clean and prepare your potatoes to your taste. You can either skin the potato or leave the skin on. Step2 Slice them taters! Using your mandoline, carefully slice your potatoes. Remember to cut your slices rather thin because they cook faster and get much crisper. Step3 Add your oil. In a 4 quart pan, you do not want to overflow with 375 degree oil, which is why we have a 1.5 quart bottle of oil. Preheat the oil to around 375 degrees. Step4 Fry them taters! Using your tongs, gently place the potato chips into the pan. Once they're golden brown on both sides, they are ready to be seasoned. It's best to place your new homemade potato chips in a large bowl layered with paper towels. This will help soak some of the excess oil. Step5 Seasoning. Lightly salt your potato chips. There are many other alternative seasoning options. |
